Barre

Alright, new workout to try!

I've heard a lot of great things about Barre. Everything I have heard is that it's really really hard but effective. Someone at work said they've lost multiple inches since they started. So I've been interested in trying it for awhile. The problem is that it's expensive. The only barre studio in the area has classes but they are really expensive. I cannot afford it. I also don't plan to do it everyday which is really the only way getting the gym membership would be worth it.

However! I thought it would be great to do when I need a break from being outside or when it's raining out and I can't go outside. I don't have a gym membership right now so if we have a week of pure rain there's a pretty good chance I won't be going outside or doing any type of activity. I've been doing some yoga but it hasn't been enough. Then one of Francis' coworkers was moving and was selling Barre3 for half the price. I decided to buy it and I hope to let you guys know what I think of it.

It's a 28 day program but I'm not going to do it everyday, I'm going to mix it into my normal workout routine. I did day one and it was great! It was 40 mins of leg exercises. It felt pretty good during the exercise where I wasn't sure if I was going to be sore the next day. I was, it's a good sore though so no worries. I think what makes it so different is that it's combining pilates, yoga and ballet together. The other part of the workout that is different from previous ones I've completed is that it uses a ball. I didn't think the ball would make such a difference but it does! It gives you an extra element of the workout that I haven't had before!

Anyway, I hope to give you all an update in maybe a month or so about how I did and if I saw any changes. Get ready! Since I paid for it, I'm determined to use it :).
